We wanted to share a reminder to be vigilant about any messages you receive that you are not sure about.
If you receive a text / email / phone call take your time and check HMRC scams advice and if it doesn't seem right, you can report it.
Tax scams come in many forms. Some threaten immediate arrest, others offer a rebate.
Do not open attachments or click any links in an email or text message, as they may contain malicious software or direct you to a misleading website.
Delete any emails or texts once you’ve reported them.
Please remember HMRC / Companies House / Government Departments will never ask for any personal details including passwords, bank details, codes, company officers.
